Admission for Spectators:

Verification will take place on Thursday, September 27th (10a.m-7pm). Mandatory to present:
- Original application (entry) form
- Original payment receipt
- Current medical forms/tests
- Valid insurance
- Parents’/legal guardian consent (minors under law)

Competitors not meeting the requirements will be not permitted to participate in the competition

This is a preliminary program, and can or might change. Please keep yourself updated with any changes that might occur. 

Competition Regulations

KATA 

Only Shotokan KATA may be performed. 

KATA will be scored using point system with four corner judges and one centre referee
        - All Individual contestants will do two rounds (two KATAS) before the Final
        - Final 8 competitors (best sum of two rounds before)
        - If 8 or fewer competitors in a category, will do two KATAS (final direct)
          (The podium places will be allocated by the sum of the two rounds)

In KATA TEAM is the same system (TOKUY Kata) free all rounds
        - In Team KATA can participate one Competitor of the age bracket below, but only in a Team

All Competitors Individual or Teams must have two (2) KATAS in minimum
        - Can repeat in the final (if you want) one of the two katas.

Categories versus KATAS:
        All Categories 9º and 8º Kyu    - One Basic KATA (if they want)
        7 until 4º Kyu                             - Heian Shodan to Tekki Shodan
        3º Kyu and Dan                          - Intermediate and Advance KATAS

In the Category “Open KATA Disability (078)”:
        - All KATAS are free (only one per athlete)
        - 1st place medals will be distributed to all participants

Awards:
        - For 1st place: Championship Medal (Teams: Trophies and Medals)
        - For the 2nd and 3rd places: Medals (Teams: Trophies and Medals) 

More trophies and medals will be awarded to certain categories, this will be decided by the Tournament Director, and is not debateble or negotiable.

This categories will be published in due time.

 

KUMITE 


Protections:
        - Mouth piece is mandatory for all ages in the KUMITE event
        - Female chest protectors (optional)
        - Groin protector for all male competitors is mandatory
        - Only the Hands protections (WKF type) are allowed (Blue/White and Red) Prefebly WHITE and RED, this is a TRADITIONAL SHOBU TOURNAMENT, 
        - Only safety glasses with restraining band or soft contact lenses are allowed.
        - Body protector (WKF Type) all categories (included 14 y/o and under) is optional
        - Head protector is optional
        - Foot and Shin protectors are optional

Children 6-14 years
         All rounds (including finals):
        - Ippon shobu:         1 full point (Ippon) or two half points (Wazari)
        - Time duration:      1 minute 30 seconds

Cadets/Juniors/Adults and Veterans (15 y/o and older)
        All rounds (including finals except adults 26-35):
        - Ippon shobu:         1 full point (Ippon) or two half points (Wazari)
        - Time duration:      2 minutes

Finals: Adults 26-35 y/o Male and Female
        - Nihon shobu:        2 full points – one full point and two half points or four half points.
        - Time duration:      3 minutes

All competitors (Individual or Team) must COMPETE in a minimum of two (2) fights
 
Awards: 
        - For the 1st place: Championship Medal (Teams: Trophies and Medals)  
        - For the 2nd place: ChampionshipMedal (Teams Trophies and Medals)

        - Two (2) 3rd places: ChampionshipMedals (Teams: Trophies and Medals)
